This is it! The tenth Duffield and Hazelwood Scarecrow Trail is officially underway! The event is running from 16th-20th September 2026 and is set to be our biggest trail ever with over 80 scarecrow displays dotted throughout both villages.
Purchasing your trail brochure
To help you make the most of the Scarecrow Trail why not purchase on of our Trail brochures when you arrive. The brochures cost just £3 and include
- a map showing the location of all of our scarecrows – and there’s a lot of them!
- locations of the weekend refreshment stops.
- a quiz entry sheet; we’ve got some great prizes up for grabs for the winners!
- a yellow postcard for you to vote for your favourite scarecrows and be in with a chance of winning £50 worth of vouchers to spend in Duffield!
Trail brochures can be purchased from Duffield News, Treetops Hospice Charity Shop and Monchelsea Stores, and from our Scarecrow Hub outside the White Hart over the weekend.
Last-minute trail updates
Please note we do have a few last minute updates to the map:
- We have two newcomers to the Trail! We now have scarecrows from Duffield Craft Group, located at the library (No.3a) and from Allestree Art Group, located at the Trinity Exchange on King Street, (No.41a).
- There will no longer be a scarecrow at location No.4.
- The scarecrows at No.38, No.73, No.77 and No.78 are planning to join us but are going to be a little late!
- The scarecrow at No.24 will be with us at the weekend.
Enter our raffle draw
Raffle tickets will go on sale during the Scarecrow Trail at just £1 each and we have some amazing prizes donated by local businesses. Stay tuned to this space and our Facebook page for more details.
This year’s charities
To tie in with this year’s theme ‘When I Grow Up’ we’re fundraising for two great children’s charities: Bliss, which supports premature and seriously ill babies, and the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre (see link below for more details). Every brochure and raffle ticket you buy raises money for both these charities.
